Marc Long Crow Gunsallus
March 13, 2023 - January 6, 2025

It is with many broken hearts the family shares the sad news of the death of their son, age 21 months Marc Antonio Ruger Long Crow (Gunsallus). Marc was born in Winner, SD on March 13, 2023 and left this life for his eternal heavenly home with Jesus on January 6, 2025 in Marathon, Florida. What was to be a fun vacation turned very quickly into his untimely passing. The journey to adopt Marc was so amazing and so many watched him grow and enjoyed his adventures as his young life unfolded. There are so many that will never have the chance to meet this sweet boy who loved to smile and always with a little mischief at heart. Now his parents are left remembering the joy of traveling to South Dakota to bring their infant son home, filled with dreams of loving him, watching him grow, and a long healthy life. He had promising signs of being and doing great things. His love and enthusiasm for learning was so endearing to watch.
Marc is survived by his Lakota family, birth mother, Momma J, Grandma Rachel, his brothers Tristan, Joseph and sister Gracie, and his Auntie Chantelle. Also mourning at the loss of little Marc is his parents Robert and Meghan Marcantonio Gunsallus of Middletown, paternal grandparents Mike and Nancy Gunsallus of Tyrone, PA and Maternal Grandparents Nicholas “Kim” and Mary Ann Marcantonio of Middletown; uncles Kris and Paul Marcantonio; aunts Jessica and Kristin Marcantonio, and cousins Jack, Emma, Sophie, Nicholas Samuel, Henry and Gabriel; numerous aunts and uncles and their families, Great Great Aunt Maxine Hannah and extend families both in South Dakota and east coast; all who are now suffering with a huge emptiness in their hearts.
The families are grateful for the love and prayers from the members of Zion Lutheran Church, Pastors Matt and Diane Day, the community of Middletown, friends near and far and the many who have never met Marc but have touched our lives.
All services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 107 West Main Street, Middletown, MD. Visitation, Friday evening January 17th from 5:00 to 7:00pm and Saturday the 18th from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Zion Cemetery behind the church.
