We believe that ministry is for people of all ages.  At Zion, we have a number of great ways for your child to learn and grow in their faith.  From the Day Off Program, to FootPrints, Youth Group, Confirmation class, and those Wednesday Night gatherings in Advent and Lent for children, we are committed to doing this work.

Middle and High School Summer Trips

We have heard you wanted a Day Off Program when you are off from school, so we got two dates planned for this summer (you are technically off of school this summer...don’t worry, we are working on some stuff this Fall too).

  • On Tuesday, June 27th, we are taking a trip to the Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA. We will meet at Zion at 9 a.m. and spend the day down at the museum. We will grab lunch down at the museum and be back around 4 p.m.

  • On Thursday, July 20th, we are going to take a trip to visit the U.S. Supreme Court and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture. We are planning to take the Marc Train which means we will need to be at the station around 6:30 a.m. to catch the 7 a.m. train. We plan to be back around 7 p.m. that night.

We will need chaperones for both trips. Our goal is to have 1 chaperone per 10 kids (more chaperones per kids will be better). If you like spending the day in DC, exploring some of our nation’s greatest museums, as well as spending time with some of our awesome youth, then we could really use your help!
