We believe that ministry is for people of all ages. At Zion, we have a number of great ways for your child to learn and grow in their faith. From the Day Off Program, to FootPrints, Youth Group, Confirmation class, and those Wednesday Night gatherings in Advent and Lent for children, we are committed to doing this work.
This DayOff Program is a chance for you kids to spend the day with us at Zion. We typically pick some fun things to do with them so you can have the DayOff yourself. This next program is free thanks to generous donations!
Lunch is included. Jumbo’s will make sure everyone comes home with a soccer ball size pumpkin. Jumbo’s has a wonderful playground and corn maze. This year, they have added a new BIG slide. This is open to Elementary, Middle and High School Kids.
Extra chaperones are always needed and appreciated!!!!

The Children’s Choir preforms a few times a year at special worship services. Rehearsals are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during the last 15 minutes of Sunday School class time with Emily Hopson, our Children’s Choir Director. Emily teaches the kids to not only sing, but add rhythm and dance to the music. No music skills are need—Emily will teach them all they need to know!
Sunday School begins September 7th. We have a class for all ages including Middle and High School students. There is adult class typically meets in the room behind the chapel and is excellent and a great place to grow. We also have a place where you can come, sit, drink some coffee, talk with others and take a break in the Library. Even Jesus needed a nap every once in a while…

First Communion GatheringsEach week we celebrate the gift of Holy Communion as a way of reminding us that Jesus is truly present in the wine/grape juice and wafers. On Sunday, Oct. 5th and 12th, we will be hosting classes around Holy Communion at 12:30 p.m.. This is for those who are ready to receive their First Communion, those who are exploring but not yet ready, and a refresher course for those who already receive. We will start with a pizza lunch at 12:00 p.m. and then talk and do an activity ending by 1:30 p.m. Those who will be receiving their First Communion will be recognized on Oct. 26th. Please RSVP to the Church Office by Oct. 1st if you will be joining us.
