The Steeple of Zion Lutheran Church After more than 260 years of ever-expanding Christian ministry in the Middletown Valley of Maryland, Zion Lutheran Church is enthusiastically embracing the future.

We welcome you to join us for spiritual growth and participation in weekly worship services. A Christian Education hour is available on Sundays for all ages.

We celebrate Holy Communion at each service.

Safe House

Tutors We invite all 6-8 graders to join us on June 13th from 3-5:30pm for an end of year Safe House celebration. We'll have games and special food! Bring your friends! Come when you can. Leave when you must.

This will be our last Safe House for the 2012-1013 school year. We'll start back up again August 22.

Recovering from Sandy

There is an opportunity to partner with an ELCA church from Hillsborough, NJ to do some cleanup work on the Jersey shore. You are invited to join in their efforts as they work from July 22-27 (while our young people are at WorkCamp and others are heading to Mexico).

Kingdom Rock - VBS 2013 We're in full gear preparing for this year's Vacation Bible School! At Kingdom Rock, kids discover how to stand strong for God!

Summer Program

Garden The summer program is a one day a week, day long summer program, for elementary and middle school-aged youth. We offer structured games/activities based on themes for the day, caring for and cultivating our community garden (Garden of Hope), science experiments, crafts, movies, and free time.
